Manchester United will begin the final two weeks of the Premier League season outside of the European qualification places.
A humbling 4-0 defeat away to Crystal Palace on Monday night made it four wins in five for the Eagles, leaving United in eighth place.
In the title race, Manchester City continue to relentlessly hunt Arsenal down in the fight for first place in the Premier League table.
The Gunners lead the Premier League after Saturday’s win over Bournemouth. But, having played a game more, City beating Wolves means Arsenal remain in need of Fulham, Tottenham or West Ham doing them a favour in the final weeks of the 2023-24 season.
There is plenty more going on around the league than just the title battle and Friday saw Luton stay in the relegation zone when they were held to a draw at home by Everton.
Burnley suffered a huge blow to their chances of a great escape by losing 4-1 at home to Newcastle in one of three 3pm kick-offs on Saturday, which also saw Nottingham Forest come from behind to secure a huge win against already-relegated Sheffield United.
Chelsea then thrashed London rivals West Ham 5-0 to keep up their hopes of European football.
Liverpool then beat Tottenham in the best of the action on Sunday, after fourth-placed Aston Villa lost to Brighton.
